The Katan Consultation and Referral Service of The Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center is a service offered to those concerned about their mental health or that of family or friends. Calls are welcome from professionals seeking consultation and/or assistance in making a referral. Treatment and services are available for children, adolescents and adults.
A message left by a caller on the private voice-mail line will be answered promptly by a mental health professional who can assist the caller in determining the service needed. If indicated, a referral will be made to a person know to possess the training and skills necessary to provide the needed service.
Members of the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center provide services in private offices located throughout the greater Cleveland area. Fees and other arrangements are made directly with the therapist providing the service. Members of the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center are counselors, social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists with additional training in psychoanalysis.
Available mental health services include consultation, assessment, treatment and referral. Treatment services range from medication management to intensive dynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Some members of the Center are fluent in languages other than English including Spanish, Hebrew, German, Russian, Polish and French.
Need-based financial support is available to those who qualify under a grant to the Cleveland Psychoanalytic Center from the Mayer-Haber Foundation of the Cleveland Foundation. Inquiries can be made to the mental health professional answering the call.
If the caller's question cannot be addressed by a member of the Center, a referral will be made to a place where the needed service can be obtained.
